They currently house victims on an emergency rescue basis and help stabilize them physically and emotionally and assist in finding transitional housing programs that best suit their needs.” - Los Angeles Dream Center
National Human Trafficking Awareness month happens in January every year. The purpose of this is to bring awareness to this horrific, pandemic crime happening in our own backyards.
Piper & Skye is pleased to announce a new partnership with Los Angeles Dream Center, specifically focusing on their support for the victims and survivors of human trafficking.
Los Angeles Dream Center provides emergency rescue efforts as well as ongoing support for resident survivors. Long term support for the survivors of human trafficking includes healthy food, comfortable shelter, counselling and therapy, clothing and necessities as well as the training and life skills necessary for these individuals to move forward free from the atrocities of modern day slavery.

Our team paid a visit to the LA Dream Center in December to meet their wonderful and supportive people!
We look forward to furthering our partnership with Los Angeles Dream Center through such initiatives as:
1). Our #BagforABag campaign (waterproof backpacks filled with toiletries and necessities, prepared by Piper & Skye team members that volunteered their time) - every sale of a Piper & Skye handbag is matched with a backpack for the survivors at Dream Center.
2). Clothing donations to suit the needs of the survivors by way of our work with "Sew Here's The Thing” out of Edmonton, Alberta.
3). Monetary donations raised during our special events.
