Meet the Designers

Joanna MacDonald, Founder

MacDonald founded PIPER & SKYE, an exotic leather handbag collection designed for the fashion-forward connoisseur, in 2015. With a strong background in design and business, she holds a BBA from University of Winnipeg and diploma for handbag design at the London College of Fashion in the U.K. MacDonald’s skills are apparent in this Canadian entrepreneurial venture as in the quality and detail that finish each PIPER & SKYE accessory.

MacDonald’s Scottish roots shine through PIPER & SKYE’s unique and carefully crafted handbags as she exclusively names each style after cities she has competitively performed traditional Scottish highland dancing and is representative of bagpipes and the Isle of Skye, where Joanna MacDonald’s family originates.

MacDonald curated her first collection to include four different styles that are catered to serve the needs of the modern woman. She aims to provide a handbag for every kind of wear; be it a weekend getaway or business meeting.
